Q: Should I Sell During the Holidays?
These are five excellent reasons to consider selling now and not wait.
2020 is finally coming to an end, which means right now I’m receiving many questions about whether sellers should sell now, wait until after the new year, or wait until 2021. The answer is that you should consider selling now, and I’m sharing five great reasons why:
Huge buyer demand. Enormous numbers of jobs are being created here locally, and interest rates are at an all-time low, meaning there are tons of buyers in the market who need homes to purchase.
Lack of inventory. If you sell now, you won’t have much competition; there’s a good chance your house will be the only one on the market in your neighborhood, and buyers will be fighting over it.
"You should consider selling now."
Serious buyers. People purchasing during the holiday season are the most serious buyers of the year.
People aren’t traveling. In years past, the holiday season meant people were coming and going, but now that so many things are shut down, we’re still seeing multiple offers on properties, and I think that will continue into the spring.
More inventory is coming. After the first of the year, many more homes will come onto the market. The traditional seller believes their house won’t sell during the holidays or even during winter, so they have to wait. In reality, the best time to sell is when you have the least amount of competition, and we currently have the lowest inventory we’ve ever seen.
If you have any questions about selling during the holidays or real estate in general, give me a call or send an email. I would love to help you.
